Using QR Studio

QR Studio is free to use for personal and commercial work. There is no account, no sign-up, no usage limit and no paid tier. You do not need permission to use the codes you generate on packaging, signage, business cards, menus, posters or anything else, and they carry no watermark and no redirect through this site.

What you generate is yours

A QR code is a machine-readable encoding of content you supplied. No ownership over the codes or the content behind them is claimed here, and no record of them is kept - the app has no server to keep one on. You are responsible for what you encode and for having the right to publish it.

Provided as is

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. The built-in scan self-check decodes each generated code with a real QR decoder at three sizes, which catches the large majority of styling mistakes, but it cannot model every scanner app, camera, lens, printing process, substrate or lighting condition in the world. Before a large print run, scan a physical proof with the devices your audience will actually use. No liability is accepted for losses arising from a code that fails to scan, for content encoded in error, or for anything reached by scanning a code.

Acceptable use

Do not use QR Studio to encode content that is unlawful, that impersonates someone else, or that is designed to mislead the person scanning it into disclosing credentials or payment details. Because everything runs in your browser, this is asked of you rather than enforced technically - there is nothing on our side to detect or block it.

Availability

The site may change or become unavailable at any time without notice. Since the page keeps working offline once it has loaded, and every export is produced on your own machine, keep local copies of any files you depend on rather than relying on this site still being here.

Privacy

Nothing you type is transmitted, and the only data stored is a small set of localStorage keys on your own device. The privacy page lists each key and exactly what is in it.
